  1. Six More High School Players Sign With USC Men's Volleyball
    Six more high school volleyball players—6-7 outside hitter Clay Dickinson of Corona del Mar High in Newport Beach (Calif.), 6-7 outside hitter-middle blocker Billy Fauntleroy of New Trier High in Winnetka (Ill.), 6-6 outside hitter Kyle Gear of Gates Chili High in Rochester (N.Y.), 6-2 setter Chris Hall of Notre Dame High in Sherman Oaks (Calif.), 6-4 outside hitter Christopher McBee of Palos Verdes High in Palos Verdes Estates (Calif.) and 6-4 outside hitter Pete Obradovich of Laguna Beach (Calif.) High—have signed with the USC men’s volleyball program and will join the team in the fall of 2017, Trojan head coach Jeff Nygaard announced today (April 25).
  2. No. 10 USC Men's Volleyball Falls To Top-Ranked Long Beach State In MPSF Quarters
    Despite a match-high 23 kills from Lucas Yoder, the No. 10-ranked USC men's volleyball team fell to top-ranked Long Beach State, 25-22, 24-26, 25-18, 25-23, in a quarterfinal match of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Tournament on Saturday (April 15) in Long Beach.
  3. Lucas Yoder Named All-MPSF First Team, Andy Benesh Second Team
    Senior outside hitter Lucas Yoder was named to the 2017 All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation first team, while senior middle blocker Andy Benesh made the second team.
  4. No. 10 USC Men's Volleyball Goes To No. 1 Long Beach State For MPSF Tourney Quarterfinal Match
    The No. 10-ranked USC men’s volleyball team (14-13 overall, 8-10 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation) returns to the MPSF Tournament after a year’s hiatus when it visits No. 1 Long Beach State (24-3, 16-2) in a quarterfinal match on Saturday (April 15) at 7 p.m. PT. The Trojans handed the 49ers one of their 3 losses in 2017. If the eighth-seed Trojans defeat the top-seed 49ers, USC would advance to the April 20 MPSF semifinals to play at the winner of Saturday’s UC Irvine-UCLA match (the semis and the April 22 final will be at the home of the tourney’s top remaining seed). Lucas Yoder leads the nation in kills (second in points), Gert Lisha is second in assists and Andy Benesh is fifth in hitting percentage.

    The No. 11-ranked USC men’s volleyball team, behind Lucas Yoder’s 24 kills and 8 digs, concluded its regular season schedule with a 25-17, 21-25, 25-21, 25-21 win at Cal Baptist in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match on Saturday (April 8).
